Known for his commissioned sculptures and public works, Steffen was a prolific Expressionist who worked in a dazzling array of media: painting, printmaking, mozaics, and many more. STMA, one of a few single-artist museums in the US, preserves and displays Steffen's work with a dynamic exhibition calendar featuring both emerging and established artists.
